I’M BACK MIX
Well it’s been exactly two months since I posted a new mix of my own, but I’m back and here to stay. I’ve moved into a new place (yes, still in Parkdale) and I finally got the decks set up and the 45’s unpacked. I pulled out some gems for this mix, it’s one of my favourites from past shows.
I never single out tunes from my podcasts, but the first track on here is worth its weight in gold. I’ve been after this track for years and it finally popped into my needy little hands. It’s an instrumental cover of Syl Johnson’s classic tune “Is it because I’m black” (one of my all time favourite songs), but the horn on this version just puts shivers down my spine. Give it a good listen.
